Nature’s Architect explores concepts involving memory, environment, and design. My work combines personal experiences with fashion to show how nature and architecture shaped my identity and challenged my self-expression.
I grew up in Mexico City, surrounded by both architecture and nature. My father developed houses, and my mother worked as an interior designer, so from a young age, I got to see the whole process of building spaces and how they brought them to life. I was fascinated by how nature worked with these houses. I focused on how sunlight, shadows, and organic patterns surrounded these spaces. Those memories influenced the way I see the world, making me realize the impact design has on it.
My collection was inspired by the work of architects such as Luis Barragán and William Smalley, showing how designers can transform an idea into physical materials and bring life to their creations through design. My journey began with a childhood memory and resulted in the development of my final thesis collection.
Nature’s Architect is a reminder that design represents not just what we create but also what we feel and remember.
